Noise impact assessment reports for planning
A noise impact assessment explains how sound could affect your proposal or its neighbours. We agree the relevant sources, sensitive receptors and assessment periods before recommending measurements or predictions.

BS 4142 assessment for plant and commercial noise
Installing extraction, ventilation, a heat pump or other commercial plant? Send the equipment sound data, location drawings and operating hours, along with the council’s request.
Where BS 4142 applies, the assessment considers the proposed sound, background conditions and acoustic features in context. We can then explain the required survey and any mitigation work within your quotation.

A noise survey records the sound environment at locations and times relevant to the proposal. The programme depends on the source, operating hours, access and council requirements. Monitoring may be attended or unattended; not every site needs the same duration.
