Terms of Use
Effective date: 9 October 2026 · Website Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These terms apply to use of https://acp-consultants.com/, operated by ACP Consultants Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales under number 14085697. Our address is White Collar Factory Floor 1, 1 Old Street Yard, London, EC1Y 8AF. Contact it@acp-consultants.com or 0330 236 7329.
These are website terms, not the terms of an appointment for professional services. A consultancy appointment is governed by the specific fee proposal, agreed scope and applicable appointment terms supplied and accepted for that project. Sending an enquiry, reading guidance or requesting a quotation does not itself appoint ACP or commit you to pay for services.
Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling. Cookie settings allow you to manage website cookie choices. These documents perform different functions; using the website is not blanket consent to optional tracking.
2. Information and professional advice
Our pages provide general information about environmental consultancy, surveys and planning. They are not a substitute for advice addressing your site, plans, timing and regulatory context. Guidance may depend on facts or requirements that have changed since publication.
Before acting on general information, obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances. We take reasonable care in preparing website information, but do not guarantee planning permission, a regulator’s decision or a particular project outcome. Nothing in this clause limits the reasonable-care-and-skill duty or remedies that apply to separately commissioned services.
Publication dates identify when material was published. A review or update date will be added only where it reflects a real review or change. Existing dates will not be reset merely to make an article appear new.
3. Using the website
You may browse and use the website for lawful personal or business purposes. Do not misuse forms, submit unlawful content, impersonate someone, infringe another person’s rights, introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorised access. Do not interfere with the operation or security of the site.
When contacting us, provide accurate information and only personal or confidential information relevant to the enquiry that you are entitled to share. Do not send highly sensitive information through a general enquiry form unless an appropriate process has been agreed.
We may take proportionate steps to protect the site, investigate misuse and restrict access where reasonably necessary. That does not remove any rights or obligations under an existing consultancy appointment.
4. Intellectual property and permitted use
The website’s text, reports, illustrations, photographs, diagrams, graphics, tools and design are owned by or licensed to ACP, subject to any identified third-party rights. You may print or download reasonable extracts for your own lawful reference and, subject to the linking provisions below, share a link to a page. Keep relevant acknowledgements and do not alter material in a way that misrepresents its meaning or source.
Do not republish substantial parts, commercially exploit our material, use our branding in a misleading way or claim ACP’s endorsement without permission, except where law allows the use. Third-party photographs, illustrations, trade marks and other assets remain subject to their respective rights.
Professional reports and project deliverables have their own appointment licence and reliance arrangements. Permission to read or share website content does not grant a right to rely on an ACP report prepared for another client.
5. External links and services
We link to external resources and social-media profiles for convenience. Unless expressly stated, a link is not an endorsement of all material on that destination. We do not control external websites and their own terms and privacy information apply when you use them.
Embedded maps, videos and anti-spam services may involve third-party technology. Their data handling is addressed in the Privacy Policy and applicable cookie information. This website does not promise that every third-party resource will remain available or unchanged.
6. Availability and changes
We may update or remove website material and temporarily suspend the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We will not use changes to these website terms to rewrite an already accepted consultancy appointment retrospectively.
The version in force when you use the website applies to that use. Any material change will be indicated on this page with an updated date and appropriate notice.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If you use the website as a consumer, these terms do not affect your mandatory rights. We remain responsible for loss or damage for which the law makes us responsible.
8. Linking to us
If you wish to place a link to our website on another website, you must first obtain our written permission, except where the law independently permits the use. Email it@acp-consultants.com with the website address, proposed linking page, link wording and purpose. Permission applies only to the placement and purpose we expressly approve.
A link must not falsely suggest ACP’s endorsement, sponsorship, partnership or approval. Do not place an approved link in misleading, unlawful, defamatory or spam-related material, or use it to misrepresent ACP or its services.
Do not frame our website, embed or reproduce our content, hotlink our images or use our logo or trade marks without separate written permission, except where the law permits the use. Permission to link does not authorise copying our content or reliance on our professional reports.
We may withdraw linking permission where the agreed conditions are breached or there is a reasonable legal, security or reputational concern. We may request removal of unauthorised or misleading links. Nothing in this section restricts a use that the law independently permits.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. For business users, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be restricted. For consumers, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or a right to bring proceedings in another competent court available under applicable law.
Please contact us to discuss concerns before starting proceedings where practicable. This does not prevent urgent action or impose a contractual time bar on a complaint.
10. General
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as the law permits. A failure to exercise a right immediately is not a waiver of that right. These website terms do not give a third party a contractual right to enforce them except where expressly stated or required by law.
